Tony Schnur
Chief Executive Officer

- BJ Services, Yuma, Camber (Lucas), Aquila, extensive consulting
- Energy experience: 35 years
Tony is a multi-decade senior leader of energy companies with deep experience in turnarounds, asset assimilation, mergers, restructuring, and distress management—a profile that has made him an in-demand “fixer” of stressed assets and companies and perfectly positioned for the Fortify Energy strategy to identify, acquire and operate assets where there exist “value gaps.”
Before joining Fortify as founding CEO in 2021, Tony was the appointed chief restructuring officer of the large-cap, privately held oilfield services company BJ Services, interim CEO and CRO of publicly traded Yuma Energy, and served as CEO of Camber Energy (formerly Lucas Energy), where he led a successful turnaround by reorganizing and expanding operations, stabilizing production, and acquiring highly productive assets.
Earlier positions included CFO and interim CEO at the private-equity-backed natural gas company Chroma Oil & Gas, CFO of Llano Royalty Corporation, CFO and interim CEO of NT Energy PLC, CFO of Starlight
Corporation, and director of structured transactions at Aquila Energy Capital. Earlier, Tony managed sales and marketing for energy trading and industrial companies and spent five years in commercial banking, finance and business development.
Tony’s mix of experience in identifying promising oil and gas assets that represent value (and those that don’t), restructuring operations, cost reductions, and implementation of financial controls may be unmatched in the industry.
Tony earned a BSBA in finance from Gannon University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve.

Lisa Bromiley
Chief Financial Officer
- BBA accounting and finance, MPA; CPA
- Northern, BioUrja, P3 (co-founder), Flotek, Unocal (Chevron)
- Energy experience: 17 years
Lisa is a transaction-focused “turnaround” CFO with 25 years of experience at public, private-equity-backed and private companies in the energy, commodities, and industrial service industries—a superb profile for the Fortify Energy model of acquiring assets where value gaps exist and then adding extreme efficiency to provide maximum return.
Before joining Fortify as founding CFO in 2022, Lisa was CFO of North Shore Steel, Aviva Metals, the BioUrja Group, P3 Petroleum (where she was a co-founder), Rail Service & Logistics, and Platinum Energy.
Lisa was also CFO of Flotek Industries, where she helped engineer and realize the turnaround of that multinational oilfield services company from insolvency to a listing on the NYSE, growing the company’s market capitalization from $5 million to $1 billion in three years. Earlier in her career, Lisa served as a financial analyst at a variety of energy firms and a senior auditor at a Big Four accounting firm.
Lisa’s experience across strategic mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and creating and ensuring robust financial reporting, compliance, and planning make her an energy CFO who adds value across all levels of an organization. She has been named CFO of the Year by the Houston Business Journal and is Audit Committee chairman and a director of Northern Oil and Gas.
Lisa holds a BBA in accounting and finance and an MPA degree, both from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a CPA.

Greg Wachel
Chief Operating Officer
- BS civil engineering, MS petroleum engineering
- Torrent (founder), Hilcorp
- Energy experience: 24 years
Greg is an engineer by training, and at heart, and is a “hands-on” energy executive who is particularly noted for recognizing value gaps in potential acquisitions and then maximizing asset value and capturing upside potential on behalf of shareholders.
Greg has a strong entrepreneurial tilt—a great fit for Fortify Energy’s model of successive, selective acquisitions. Before joining Fortify as founding COO, he founded Torrent Oil & Gas, based in Houston, and served as its president and CEO for five years, with a primary focus on redeveloping undercapitalized legacy wells and properties in the Austin Chalk basin. After one particular acquisition, for example, Greg and the team that he assembled reduced lease operating expenses by 20% and replaced more than 200% of reserves within four years.
Before founding Torrent, Greg served in a succession of senior roles at the independent E&P company Hilcorp Energy, including as that company’s chief reservoir engineer. His roles at Hilcorp included leading new major field exploitation, field study and
analysis of acquired assets, capital management, and creation and management of technical and operational staff and asset teams.
Over time, Greg has deployed more than $600 million in capital expenditures in the redevelopment of mature/legacy fields and then successfully overseen transformation of those assets into leaner producing assets through technical improvements, significant operating efficiencies, and cost reductions.
Greg holds a BS in civil engineering and an MS in petroleum engineering, both from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a 25-year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
