Ryan has 16 years of finance experience in the energy and investment banking sectors, with his main focus having been corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and capital markets. Before joining Fortify Energy, Ryan was Vice President, Finance at Carrier Energy Partners, a private oil and gas company focused on partnering with select operators developing unconventional reservoirs in North America. Carrier was formed with a $400 million private equity commitment to pursue unconventional projects in select basins and closed on three acquisitions worth more than $260 million during Ryan’s five years there.
Ryan previously held roles as a senior financial analyst at publicly traded Eagle Rock Energy Partners and EPL Oil & Gas, where his focus included financial planning & analysis, mergers & acquisitions, and investor relations. He began his career in investment banking at FBR Capital Markets and the Energy Group at Raymond James.

Greg is an engineer by training, and at heart, and is a “hands-on” energy executive who is particularly noted for recognizing value gaps in potential acquisitions and then maximizing asset value and capturing upside potential on behalf of shareholders.
Greg has a strong entrepreneurial tilt—a great fit for Fortify Energy’s model of successive, selective acquisitions. Before joining Fortify as founding COO, he founded Torrent Oil & Gas, based in Houston, and served as its president and CEO for five years, with a primary focus on redeveloping undercapitalized legacy wells and properties in the Austin Chalk basin. After one particular acquisition, for example, Greg and the team that he assembled reduced lease operating expenses by 20% and replaced more than 200% of reserves within four years.
Before founding Torrent, Greg served in a succession of senior roles at the independent E&P company Hilcorp Energy, including as that company’s chief reservoir engineer. His roles at Hilcorp included leading new major field exploitation, field study and
analysis of acquired assets, capital management, and creation and management of technical and operational staff and asset teams.
Over time, Greg has deployed more than $600 million in capital expenditures in the redevelopment of mature/legacy fields and then successfully overseen transformation of those assets into leaner producing assets through technical improvements, significant operating efficiencies, and cost reductions.

Before joining Fortify, Katie was the upstream controller at Tellurian, a developer of LNG infrastructure, and was controller at EAG, a Houston-based consulting firm primarily serving the oil & gas industry. She also served in a succession of senior roles at EP Energy (formerly El Paso Corporation), including as that company’s general accounting and reporting manager.
